Semantic Sabotage is not an organisation, so there is no formal membership. Semantic Sabotage is based on the principle of stigmergy, or stigmergic collaboration.
Stigmergy is a process observed in nature, namely among social insects and birds. Stigmergy means coordination without vertical hierarchical structures and leaders, a swarm intelligence. Stigmergy is a “hint-based system” where coordination happens through traces and signs (stigmas) and through artifacts: a trace of an action committed by some inspires others to continue. To read more about stigmergy: look here and here.
The best way to join is to practice semantic sabotage through actions on a small-scale (act local!) in the places where you belong to, where you know the context, and can make a difference. We are happy to publish your actions on this blog, anonymously or not, you decide.
